​West Windsor residents oppose large-scale industrial warehouse sprawl and overcrowded developments that reduce open space, clogs our roads, increase road accidents, increases flooding, threaten wetlands, and delivers little tax benefit.

 

Our commitment: 

• The contrast between warehouses and well-designed mixed-use developments is important to address as the combination of residential, retail, and commercial uses can generate significantly higher tax yields per square foot while requiring far less land, helping preserve open space and reduce traffic congestion.

• We will support, advocate, and facilitate business growth in West Windsor Township with the NJ AI Hub (https://njaihub.org/).  This will bring high value rateables that will enable the township to delivery high quality services to its residents without raising taxes.

• We will prioritize projects that expand sidewalks and bicycle paths between core downtown businesses and nearby neighborhoods: such as Windsor Plaza (Woo Ri Mart), Avalon W Squared, and our schools.

 

Investing in Infrastructure

West Windsor residents want safe, well-maintained roads free of potholes, clear and accessible streets during winter storms, safe sidewalks for walking, reduced traffic congestion, and a community where accidents are prevented.

 

Our commitment: 

• Improve road conditions and fix potholes at priority

• Prioritize the implementation of flashing pedestrian crossing at highly prone accident zones such as Abington Lane and Rabbit Hill Road, and Penn Lyle Road.

• Identify and invest in smart traffic solutions for signals and pedestrian safety. 

• Expand sidewalks, bike paths, and crosswalks for safe, and active travel. Review feasibility to build a bikeway on North Post Road from village road to Princeton Jct Train Station.

• Advocate for regional transit solutions with NJ Transit and Mercer County. 

• Require impact assessments before approving new development.

 

Environmental Stewardship

West Windsor residents want a community that protects open green spaces, keeps sidewalks safe and clear, and ensures clean, well-maintained neighborhoods with reliable waste , recyclables, and compost collection.

 

Our commitment: 

• Restore regular tree maintenance and ensure safe and clear sidewalks.

• Work with Waste Management to optimize garbage pickup services.

• Protect vacant land and wetlands from future development.

• Strengthen our flood protection ordinance beyond state minimums. 

• Enforce modern stormwater management standards. 

• Support green building practices, tree canopy preservation, solar energy, and EV infrastructure. 

• Implement a food waste composting service for all residents. 

 

Community Wellness

West Windsor deserves more than the status quo.  Our vision is for a modern library and a true town center.

 

Our commitment: 

• Collaborate with Mercer County, to identify grant opportunities for upgrading our library.  We will build a welcoming space that brings people of all ages together.

• Link neighborhoods into hubs and build a multigenerational civic center.

 

Keep Taxes Stable

West Windsor residents are concerned about sharp property tax increases.

 

Our Commitment:

• Make smarter spending choices: reduce non-essential costs by at least 5% and invest in the necessities our community relies on. 

• Conduct a full review of township spending. 

• Implement priority-based budgeting to ensure tax dollars reflect residents’ needs. 

• Explore shared services with neighboring towns to reduce overhead without cutting services. 

• Commit to aggressive grant-seeking efforts 

• Add additional efforts bringing commercial revenue, leveraging NJ AI Hub and tech companies investing into West Windsor.

 

Transparency, Collaboration, and Governance Oversight

West Windsor residents deserve open government, faster permit approvals, and flexible inspection times.

 

Our commitment:

• We will upgrade the township website to show where residents tax dollars are being spent highlighting current and past projects

• Launch a West Windsor Civic App for residents to report issues, submit concerns and receive real-time updates.

• Conduct townhalls on a regular basis

• Ensure township staff implement practical, resident-focused solutions 

• Enable AI driven engagement with residents for reporting any issues
